Bhopal: Crime branch police nabbed a drug peddler from the TT Nagar area and recovered 5 kg of Cannabis worth Rs 40,000 from his possession on Thursday. Police said that the miscreant identified as Heeralal Patil son of Ramdas, a native Barla, was detained near Sai Dham hotel in TT Nagar before he could deliver the consignment of drugs.
The accused brought Cannabis from adjacent region of Maharashtra. The accused confessed that after his suspension in year 2012 from the post of Panchayat Secretary in Malvan village he is involved in agriculture work. Police have launched a search for his other accomplices and customers.
