Susie Bell Harris, also known as "Sue Bell", 99, of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at her residence. Susie was born on July 22, 1918, to James Boyd Morgan and Mary McDaniel Morgan. Susie was preceded in death by five sisters, Melissa Slade, Irene Wright, Janie Jones, Ruby Thomas and Ruth Pollard; six brothers, Jessie Morgan, William Morgan, Lewis Morgan, Walter Morgan, Saint Matthew Morgan and Harry Morgan; two grandchildren, Donnie Harris and Oscar Harris; two great-grandchildren, Mythesa Gray and Harold Harris. Susie is survived by four daughters, Mary Frances Johnson, Daisy Harris, Gracie Harris and Eleanor Harris; nine grandchildren, Bridget Polk, Scottie Harris, Michelle Harris, Chris Harris, Francine Johnson, Earl Johnson, Maria Harris, Marie Harris and Marlo Harris; a devoted great-grandson, Marchello Harris; loving and caring caregiver, Delaware Hicks; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at 607 Harrison St., Lynchburg.
