Biker In Shorts Crashes Doing 185 Km/h, Lives To Tell The Tale

We’ve seen our fair share of irresponsible behavior on the road, but this one might actually be a candidate for first place.

Walking away unscathed after falling off your bike is a matter of luck – but if this happens when you’re doing 185 km/h (115 mph), the chances are reduced dramatically. Especially if you happen to be without the proper gear.

Thanks to a third-person angle sourced from the second video, we can give you a perfect description of what this guy was wearing while riding: a helmet (good, check), a jacket (regular, no visible protection), shorts (seriously?) and flip flops (face-palm). He also wasn’t wearing any gloves; but that’s a misdemeanor compared to the shorts and flip flops…

We don’t know what caused the crash in the first place. However, once the Yamaha FZ6 started wobbling, there wasn’t much he could do in order to correct it. Very few people who aren’t named Marc Marquez or Valentino Rossi would at that speed.

Speaking of which, he definitely shouldn’t have been going that fast in the first place, especially with all that traffic around – not to mention his choice in clothes.

In the end, it was probably the helmet that ended up saving his life. That, and the fact that he didn’t make contact with any other vehicle or structure that could have decelerated his body to a standstill in an instant.
