Jammu: 3 bovine smuggling bids foiled, 3 arrested

Three people were arrested and 19 animals rescued as the police foiled three bovine smuggling bids in and Kashmir's and Samba districts today, an said.

A vehicle was intercepted at Baltal Morh along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway while trying to smuggle the cattle out of Udhampur, the said.

Another carrying animals was intercepted at Rehambal-Tikri, he said.

Three men were arrested, he added.

In the third incident, police rescued cattle from a vehicle in Tapyal on the Lakhanpur-national highway.

The managed to flee while he was being chased, the said.
