Maximum temperatures stay below normal in Pb, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today hovered a few notches below normal in several parts of and following overnight rains.

Chandigarh, joint capital of both states, recorded a maximum temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. It recorded 3.4 mm of rainfall, according to a report by the MeT department here.

Among other places in Haryana, Ambala's maximum temperature was 35 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal. It recorded 12.7 mm of rainfall.

Hisar experienced hot conditions at 41.8 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani recorded a high of 43 degrees Celsius.

Karnal recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal and witnessed five mm of rainfall.

Narnaul's maximum temperature was 40.5 degrees Celsius. In Punjab, and recorded maximum temperatures at 39.3 and 37.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
