Man Utd transfer news: Darmian medical today, replacement ready to join Mourinho
MANCHESTER UNITED defender Matteo Darmian will have a medical at Juventus on Friday.
GETTY
Manchester United signed Darmian from Torino back in 2015 but the Italian has always struggled to hold down a place at Old Trafford.
He cost United just shy of £13m back in 2015.
And he will head back to Italy in a deal worth £10.5m.
That is according to Italian TV station SportItalia.
They claim Darmian, 28, is heading to Turin for his medical with Juve.
He was spotted in Milan on Thursday as his representatives thrash out the negotiations with Juventus bosses.
GETTY
Darmian played just 17 games for Manchester United this season and was rarely used in major games.
He didn’t play a minute of United’s FA Cup campaign which saw them reach the final at Wembley this May.
The move comes as United themselves close in on a deal for Porto’s Diogo Dalot.
GETTY
The 19-year-old has been targeted as a viable rival to Antonio Valencia in the right-back position.
Mourinho ordered United to trigger the Portugal youth star’s £17.5m release clause earlier this month.
