Watching Legion might be an exercise in mental gymnastics, but there's nothing mind-boggling about FX's decision to renew the show for Season 3.
This news comes one month after FX announced that they'd be giving Legion's second season one additional episode, which was an odd, but obvious sign of the network's faith in the show.
This season, Legion has taken audience on a trippy ride through David Haller's (Dan Stevens) mind and his seemingly endless battle with the Shadow King in all his forms -- and we've still got two episodes to go.
Legion is based on a Marvel Comic by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz and created for TV by Noah Hawley.
Legion airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on FX.
