Saha said he was not sure if he would be fit in time for the historic Test.

Wriddhiman Saha will know whether he will be available for the one-off Test against Afghanistan, starting in Bengaluru on June 14, after visiting the doctor next week.

Saha, who injured his right thumb during Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Qualifier 2 against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL here on May 25, said he was not sure if he would be fit in time for the historic Test.

“I cannot say whether I would be taking part in the Afghanistan Test. The BCCI is keeping track of my injury on a day-to-day basis. It will depend on how I recover,” said Saha on the sidelines of the launch of the P. Sen memorial cricket coaching camp on the Kalighat Club premises here on Thursday.
