Newell Brands CFO announces plan to retire, 2 years after joining company

Newell Brands Inc. said Friday that Chief Financial Officer Ralph Nicoletti will retire at the end of the year. The stock edged up 0.9% in premarket trade. Nicoletti joined the branded consumer goods company from Tiffany & Co. in June 2016, two years after he had joined Tiffany as executive vice president. Newell, which has a portfolio of brands including Paper Mate, Elmer's and Graco, said it will begin a search for Nicoletti's successor. The stock has tumbled 23.7% year to date through Thursday, while the S&P 500 has gained 1.2%.
