BENGALURU: In order to avoid distractions in his meetings, Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy has ordered officials not to carry mobile phones to meetings convened by him.
In a note to chief secretary K RatnaPrabha, the CM has asked her to instruct all officers not to carry their mobile phones to his meetings.

“I have observed that quite often officials are talking over their mobile phones during official meetings. This will not only distract others but also lowers the importance of the matters to be discussed. So I want officials not to carry their mobile phones or deposit them with the conveners of the meetings before entering the meeting halls. I hope people will understand the purpose behind such a move,” the CM said in his note.
