Australia Market closed softer as trade war fears grow

finished session down on Friday, 1 June 2018, on tracking soft lead from Wall Street overnight amid fear of a global trade war. In addition, weak commodity prices also weighed down stocks.

Most of issues declined, with banks & financials and being notable losers. The S&P/ASX200 was down 21.5 points, or 0.36%, at 5,990.4 points, while the broader index was down 19.5 points, or 0.32%, at 6,104 points.
