Rajasthan Board result 2018: 88.92% pass, girls outsmart boys in RBSE 12th arts exam

Girls outshone boys in the Class 12 humanities examinations of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, the results of which were announced on Friday.

While 91.46 per cent girls emerged successful, their male counterparts managed 86.67 per cent. Education minister Vasudev Devnani released the results. The overall pass percentage stood at 88.92 per cent.

Government schools with 90.53 per cent did better than private schools, which registered a pass percentage of 89.05. “The result shows that students of government school have worked hard and our parent-teacher interaction drive has paid rich dividends,” said Devnani.

While over 5.37 lakh students registered for the examination, 5.27 lakh appeared for it. Around 41.44 per cent students scored first division and above. While 18.21 per cent boys scored 60 per cent and above, 23.28 per cent girls achieved the feat.

The board also announced the Varisht Upadhyay (Class 12 equivalent in sanskrit) results. About 90.3 per cent students passed the examinations.
