Imtiaz Ali reveals first look of Laila Majnu, teaser will be unveiled today

While Imtiaz Ali has written the story for Laila Majnu, Ekta Kapoor is producing it. Sajid Ali will direct the film.

First look of Laila Majnu was unveiled by Imtiaz Ali on Instagram.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has revealed the first look of his upcoming film, Laila Majnu on Instagram and the first teaser will be attached to Ekta Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding, which hits the screens on Friday. The film will be directed by Sajid Ali.

Laila Majnu is said to be a modern day re-telling of the classic love story of Laila-Majnu. While Imtiaz has written the film’s story, Ekta is producing it. He also mentioned its release date. Sharing the first look, Imtiaz wrote on Instagram, “Why do some stories live forever? Laila Majnu Teaser out tomorrow... releases 24th August 2018.”

“Laila Majnu is an eternal story of everlasting love. It’s perhaps the most popular love story of all times. For the film we wanted a fresh approach in all aspects -- a fresh cast, a fresh script and a fresh setting. We had a great experience making the film and can’t wait to showcase it to the world.” Imtiaz Ali said in a press statement.

The film which is presented by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and PI Films. The cast of the film is yet to be unveiled.
