Coimbatore: A 48-year-old woman was attacked by a leopard at Tan Tea estate in Valparai on Friday.
Chandramathi, wife of Karuppan, was cleaning utensils in front of the tea workers’ quartets around 7pm when the animal attacked her. Neighbours rushed to her help after hearing her screams. Meanwhile, the leopard fled to the nearby forest.
Chandramathi suffered minor injuries on her legs and back. She was given first aid at the government hospital at Valparai and later was sent to the government hospital at Pollachi for further treatment.TNN
