Holland Park ribbon cutting ceremony rescheduled
The City of New Smyrna Beach has rescheduled the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly completed Holland Park for 9 a.m. Friday, June 15, at 357 Otter Blvd., New Smyrna Beach. The original ceremony was scheduled for Saturday, June 2. For information, call 386-410-2600.
Ormond Beach Art Guild group sessions

63 sites to participate in the summer food service program
Volusia County’s Human Services Office is sponsoring a Summer Food Service Program for children from Monday, June 4 through Friday, Aug. 10.
The program, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provides nutritionally balanced meals regardless of race, color, sex, disability or national origin during summer vacation when school breakfasts and lunches are not available.
All children age 18 and younger are eligible for meals at no charge, and there will be no discrimination in meal service. The programs are approved only for geographical areas where 50 percent or more of the children qualify for free and reduced-price meals during the school year.

Adults can get creative at the Ormond Beach library
Adults can think outside the book at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, which offers a variety of creative programs throughout the year.
Chair yoga: 11 a.m. Mondays, June 4, 11, 18 and 25. Certified chair yoga instructor Susan Royal will lead these wellness sessions. Registration is required. Call 386-676-4191, option 4.
Adult coloring: Noon Wednesday, June 6. Relax and color with colored pencils and markers.
Rock painting: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12. Have a bit of fun expressing art with rock painting.
Adults can also take part in a summer reading program that focuses on the theme “Libraries Rock!” They can take part in this year’s reading challenge with a scavenger hunt reading list and a prize drawing Aug. 10. Futures Foundation receives Duke Energy grant
The Futures Foundation for Volusia County Schools recently received a $30,000 grant for an Enviro STEM initative in Volusia County Public Schools for $30,000. This initiative includes Project IBIS (Investigating Biomes In Science), a STEM learning module at Spruce Creek Park in Port Orange; teacher mini-grants focused on solar and alternative energy sources; and teacher STEM training workshops to enhance elementary and secondary level teachers’ focus on STEM projects within their classrooms.
