Setting eyes on party’s ‘Mission 2019’, the Haryana Bharatiya Janta Party is all set to launch a mega campaign to reach out to the people from different walks of life to highlight the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central Government.

From Chief Minister Manohar Lal to his cabinet colleagues, the entire BJP cadre will be in the field till June 11 to connect with people and apprize them about the achievements of four years tenure of Modi government and party’s vision for the country.

A detailed campaigning plan was chalked out at a meeting of Haryana BJP held here under the chairmanship of BJP's national general secretary Arun Singh. During his one day visit to Chandigarh, the senior BJP leader held a series of meetings with Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, district presidents, zila presidents and party workers to devise the campaigning strategy for ‘Mission 2019’.

Arun Singh also took feedback from party workers about the functioning of first BJP Government under Manohar Lal Khattar in Haryana.

Eyeing 2019 Lok Sabha polls and assembly polls, the party has decided to reach out to intellectuals in various fields in Haryana and apprize them about BJP’s ideology.

While Lok Sabha polls are scheduled in May 2019, the assembly polls in Haryana are likely to be held in October2019.

To connect with people ahead of general elections, the party will conduct a special contact campaign at all 17018 booths of Haryana from June 9 to June 11, during which the booth incharge will reach out to 50 people to spread party’s ideology.

Apart from this, sammelans will be held in all assembly constituencies for the beneficiaries of State Government and Central Government schemes. At district level, sammelans will be held to connect with intellectuals, writers or artists in Haryana.

During the campaign till June 11, the party will also hold one-day special campaign to connect with dalits, gram sabhas, motorcycle rallies, connect with senior citizens programmes, swachhta abhiyan among other activities.

BJP general secretary Arun Singh while addressing the party workers on Thursday said that every office bearer has to work hard on the plan of action during the special contact campaign of BJP at five booths and ensure to reach out to more and more citizens.

With the BJP government completing four years in office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries of central schemes through video conferencing and Narendra Modi App, he said.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal also called on the workers to take a collective responsibility to succeed in the contact campaigns.  Attacking the opposition, he said that the INLD and Congress are misleading the people of Haryana on the issues of Sutlej Yamuna Link canal and Swaminathan report.

After the meeting, Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala while talking to the mediapersons said that the meeting is held on two main agendas including devising a strategy to conduct special campaigns to highlight achievements of Narendra Modi Government and review the functioning of the Haryana Government.

He said that such party campaigns would continue till the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.

Notably, BJP chief Amit Shah had in February addressed a ‘Yuva Hunkar Rally' at Jind, sounding the poll bugle for 2019 general elections. Last year, Amit Shah had spent three days in Rohtak as an attempt to woo voters in the district, which is considered a stronghold of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Already in poll mode, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal is scheduled to cover all districts through roadshows, during which he interacts with the people and take their feedback on his government’s functioning.

Ahead of 2019, Manohar Lal will also cover all assembly constituencies to review progress of projects and his announcements made during his previous visit.
