AHMEDABAD: The All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation (AICPDF) has said it is opposed to the Walmart-Flipkart deal that is speculated to cause unrest in the market.In a statement, it said we believe entry of business giants with a past history of monopolization of market in European countries where the entire bricks and mortar business have been completely washed down, will cause huge employment loss and create unrest in the market. “The demanding nature of the business has led to huge infrastructure and financial investments, attracting financial institutions to be a part and parcel of the above investments which is speculated to be in danger too,” a statement from the federation president Dhairyashi Patil said. AICPDF has near 4 lakh members across India.
