CHENNAI:
Police arrested a 27-year-old man who murdered his wife in
Sriperumbudur near here on Thursday.
Police said Satish, a resident of Pudunallur near Sriperumbudur, killed his wife Banupriya, 24, by slitting her throat with a knife. He killed her after a quarrel.
The couple, who got married eight years ago, didn’t have children. Satish worked at a private firm in Sriperumbudur and lived in his in-laws’ house.
Banupriya’s mother, who went to buy groceries, returned home after a while and found her daughter lying dead. Satish was missing. She informed police.
Police nabbed Satish from a house in Somangalam. He was remanded in judicial custody.
