To the organizer(s) of Garrison Day in Beaver, I have a suggestion to assist older people who attend.

Garrison Day is a wonderful community event, and all who make it possible are to be commended. But there is a big area of need that I hope you will address and do something about, perhaps with the borough, for this year’s event.

It takes hours to get through the stands of the three parks, and on hot days that can be brutal for older people. They need a periodic rest. There are very few borough benches in the park, and several are hidden by vendor stands. There is a need for more temporary seating/benches around the parks, especially for the elderly and people with disabilities.

I am sure that given the proper attention, this could be addressed and provided for.
