In a bizarre crash, a car drove under another parked vehicle outside the Hyatt Regency Sydney hotel in Sydney's CBD on Thursday.
A man was trapped after an orange Subaru was left balanced on top of a Porsche Carrera at the hotel in Sussex Street about 8.20am, a police spokeswoman said.
A Subaru somehow managed to mount a Porsche outside Sydney's Hyatt Regency hotel on Sussex Street.
A valet was trying to park the Porsche when the crash occurred, Hyatt Regency's director of sales and marketing Matthew Talbot said, adding the valet was not injured.
"Luckily the car underneath had a soft top, so [emergency services] were able to cut open that soft canopy and [they] got our driver out of there," Talbot said.
He said paramedics gave the valet the all-clear medically, and the hotel's general manager also assured the man everything would be all right.
A valet had to be cut out of the Porsche, but was not injured in the crash.
"Thankfully he's in good spirits," Talbot said, adding that the valet had been offered the rest of the day off.
The hotel said it was doing a "full assessment" of the incident alongside police and the owners of the vehicles.
"Hyatt Regency Sydney places the utmost importance on the safety of our staff and guests," a hotel spokeswoman said in a statement.
"A full investigation is being conducted by hotel management over the next few days."
Brand new, Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolets are worth nearly A$300,000 ($325,000).
However the car in question - thought to be almost 10 years old - could be worth roughly A$150,000.
