Liverpool transfer news: Nabil Fekir deal claim made by Jan Molby
LIVERPOOL transfer target Nabil Fekir will be a Red before the World Cup if Jurgen Klopp gets his way, says Jan Molby.
Liverpool boss Klopp is eager to bolster his squad off the back of a promising season which culminated in a Champions League final appearance.
He’s already wrapped up a deal for defensive midfielder Fabinho, who’ll be joined at Anfield by fellow new recruit Naby Keita.
Klopp also wants to prise France international Fekir away from Lyon as he looks to add another dimension to his all-star attack.
Liverpool legend Molby reckons his old side will be keen to have an agreement in place prior to the World Cup, where Fekir’s value could rise.
"There'll be more business to come, and Nabil Fekir is clearly a player they want and will hope to tie up a deal before the World Cup," Molby told the Liverpool Echo.
"Fekir is very much in line with the attacking players we have at the club, at being able to handle the ball at a high tempo and play at a high tempo, being cute and with a sharp mind.
"I would be amazed if there are not other big clubs interested, but Liverpool are slowly making their way back not only to the top of the English game, but the top of the European game.

"There will be more and more of those top players keen on joining them."
Molby also revealed his optimism for Liverpool going forwards under Jurgen Klopp.
"The excitement of this season has been because of the Champions League and we don't know where that's going to take us next year," he added.
"But we are in good shape, we have a lot of good people in place in the right positions.
"I like the squad, I like the way we play, I like the risks we are prepared to take to win games.
"Like 99 per cent of Liverpool fans, I'm already looking forward to next season.
"We can only expect more of the same, more excitement, more great games and great moments."
