Head Constable commits suicide in Delhi

A 48-year-old Police committed suicide by shooting himself, police said on Friday.

Deceased Jitender was posted at the (PTC) in west Delhi's Jharoda Kalan and was on night duty when he allegedly shot himself early Friday with his service revolver.

"A gunshot was heard from the quarters. Some policemen on duty rushed in and found Jitender lying in a pool of blood. No suicide note was found," a senior police said.

The body was sent for post-mortem to and his family informed.

"We are trying to ascertain the reason behind his suicide. Prima facie, he was not happy from the last couple of days," said the
