3. My first job was a “paper boy” back when I was 11 years old. I delivered 60 newspapers to customers on my block and made about $50 per week. Good enough to buy baseball cards and play Pac-Man at the stationery store at the end of my route.

6. I am honored to provide weather reports for WAMC Public Radio on a daily basis. The report originated decades ago by Ray Falconer, the first member of the Atmospheric Science Research Center in Albany. Many of the particulars in my report started with Ray and have been carried on through the years by Mike Landin and passed on to me.

7. I was a part of baseball history when I rubbed the special Delaware River Rubbing Mud on the baseballs used during a Yankee game in May of 1996. A treat in and of itself for this big Yankee fan but it also turned out to be the game Dwight Gooden pitched a no-hitter.

18. In 1985, I witnessed the landfall of Hurricane Gloria from my home in New Rochelle. The destruction of the shoreline and immense property damage made me want to learn more about hurricanes and is the one event that I can say cemented my desire to become a meteorologist more than any other.

20. I come from a large family and as a child took cues from my older cousins. The boys made it clear which sports teams I had to root for while the girls picked the type of music I listened to. This explains why my first concert was The Village People at Madison Square Garden.
