Prove majority: Goa BJP to Congress

The Goa BJP on Wednesday ridiculed the Congress for it decision to approach the President to demand a full-fledged chief minister.

Goa BJP spokesperson Dattaprasad Naik said at a press conference that the government was working perfectly with the arrangement put in place by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. “It is wrong for the Congress to keep demanding that the Governor give them a chance to form a government. The BJP challenges them to first prove their legislative strength.”

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Advisory Committee appointed in Mr. Parrikar’s absence has been granted a third extension till June 30.
