Chelsea hijack!
Chelsea will focus their efforts on signing Roma goalkeeper Alisson after ending contract talks with Thibaut Courtois.
Liverpool want to sign Brazilian Alisson as a replacement for Loris Karius.
But the Reds must now fend off interest from Chelsea after developments at Stamford Bridge today.
Sky Sport Italia claim the Blues have ended their talks with Courtois - who is wanted at Real Madrid.
They now look set to sell to Belgian this summer and will move on to target Alisson, who could cost as much as £70million.
Chelsea vs Liverpool…
Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Liverpool are ready to fight for Atalanta youngster Christian Capone, reports claim.
The pair are already involved in a battle for Roma’s Alisson, but there could be a second fight unfolding.
Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness claim Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring Capone, who scored for Italy’s Under-21 side against France Under-21s on Tuesday.
The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s side have been tracking the 19-year-old since he was 16.
Capone, who enjoyed a profitable season-long loan with Pescara, only came to Chelsea’s attention during Tuesdays fixture as the club orginally came to scout Gianluca Mancini, Vittorio Parigini and Gianluca Scamacca.
