An accident early Thursday between a motorcycle and another vehicle sent at least one person to a Wichita Falls hospital.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., a utility van attempted to turn north onto Arthur Street, causing the motorcycle to strike it.

Officer Jeff Hughes, a Wichita Falls Police Department spokesperson, said the rider fo the vehicle was taken to United Regional Health Care System and then transferred to a hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The motorcycle rider reportedly had a "severe leg injury" from the crash, Hughes said.

Hughes said the injured man was wearing a helmet and his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The driver of the van was not injured.
