All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has said the overall results from the bypolls are not only about unity of secular forces but also show that the vote share of BJP has declined substantially.

In a tweet, Mr. Yechury said, it is a big setback for the BJP as UP and Bihar gave them an absolute majority. He also said, the verdict of Chengannur, Kerala is an endorsement of two years of LDF rule in the state.
