Bhopal: The voices of discontent have begun to surface against former CM Digvijay Singh at the time when he is about to embark on his ekta yatra from Orcha on Thursday. While Singh claims that his yatra aims to improve the coordination in state Congress.
Former state Congress general secretary Jagdish Yadav alleged that Singh is not the fit person to improve coordination as he himself is responsible for the prevailing factionalism in the state Congress. He even accused Singh of having a nexus with the BJP and claimed that Singh does not want the Congress to come to power in the state. Yadav alleged that all sections have distanced themselves from Congress due to Singh.
Yadav blamed Singh for conspiring against Congress leaders including Subhash Yadav, Shivbhanu Singh Solanki, Parasram Bharadwaj and Arun Yadav. Yadav said Singh holds a view that either he holds the reign of power in the state or Congress does not come to power. Yadav , who was with former state Congress president Arun Yadav, has alleged that no other leader has damaged the party in the state as Digvijay Singh.
Singh knows everything about state: Nayak
Former minister Mukesh Nayak has said that only Digvijay Singh could do the work of uniting all Congress workers properly. He said that Singh is well informed about the party workers and his yatra would definitely benefit the party.
Going to remove differences in district leaders: Digvijay
Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said that he had asked Congress high command to assign him the work of coordination. He said he will focus on removing the differences amongst the party leaders at district level. Singh said any Congress leader, other than the members of the coordination committee, could take part in the yatra.
