The Big Ten/ACC Challenge this season will have two old ACC rivals squaring off for the second time since conference realignment.

Virginia will travel to play Maryland in the latest installment of the series, according to a report from FanRag Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

It is one of the oldest rivalries in Virginia basketball, and this winter’s matchup will be the 183rd meeting between the teams. The Terrapins have a 107-75 series lead over the Cavaliers, though UVa has dominated the matchups in recent years.

The teams last matched up on Dec. 3, 2014, and UVa won a 76-65 affair on the road as part of a 19-0 start to the regular season.

In last year’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge, Virginia topped Wisconsin at John Paul Jones Arena.

Among the other reported notable matchups in this year’s event, Indiana will travel to Duke, UNC will go to Michigan, and Syracuse will go to Ohio State.
