Hry Police arrests three involved in cow smuggling

Haryana Police has arrested three persons from district Rewari in connection with cow smuggling including a “most wanted criminal” of Rajasthan.

The “most wanted” identified as Suba alias Sabudin, a native of village Palla in Mewat, is kingpin of cow smuggling gang. Delhi Police had also announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest.

All three accused Suba alias Sabudin, Shokeen alias Kala and Umar were arrested in the area of Sodawas-Padmada in Rewari. Two police personnel including an ASI Ranbir and Head Constable Ravidutt received bullet injuries during the firing by the accused, said a spokesman of Police Department.

 He said that police had received information that cow smugglers in a Tata 407 canter carrying cows were heading towards Rewari via Karauli mor from Bhiwani side. Based on the information, police had blocked the road near Dahina.

The cow smugglers went towards Kanina after firing several rounds on police. They again opened fire at police team after breaking barricades near village Majri, leading bullet injuries to two police personnel. Showing exemplary courage, police team, nabbed all three accused alongwith Tata 407 vehicle near village Sodawas-Padmada, said the spokesman.

 During interrogation, it was revealed that driver of the vehicle, Subba alias Sabudin is kingpin of cow smuggling gang and a  “most wanted criminal” in Rajasthan,  he added.
