The Treasury has reportedly backed calls for a series of coins to celebrate Britain leaving the European Union, after similar proposals for commemorative stamps were rejected by Royal Mail.

According to The Sun, Robert Jenrick MP, Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, has now responded to the MPs and has indicated his support, writing that he could “see the argument” for them.
