DPS Ranchi students shine in Class X board

All 279 students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi who took class 10th board exam in March 2018 were declared successful. After the announcement of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results on Tuesday afternoon several students tasted success, scoring high percentage. Beating all her batch-mates, Aastha scored 98.6 per cent clinching school topper tag. Aastha scored 493 marks out of 500 in the exam.

Advising her juniors, Aastha said, “To achieve good percentage, it is important to maintain a time-table. Also, one must not compare their potentials with other candidates.” Aastha wants to pursue engineering from the top engineering institute. Giving credits of her success to parent and school teacher, she further added that there is no substitute to hard-work.

The list released by the school management suggests, around 41students of this prestigious cradle scored above 95 per cent while 133 students got 90 percent and above in the board exam. Over 13 students got 100 marks in different subjects.

Meanwhile, congratulating students for their outstanding performance in class 10, DPS Ranchi Principal, Dr. Ram Singh said, “Due to systematic planning and regular assessment of each student, every year in board examination the school students are performing well. Attempts will be made to further raise the standard, as of now, we are very happy with the overall performance of the students.”

Notably, CBSE from this academic year has again reintroduced the percentage system. Terming the percentage system better in comparison to the grading or CGPA evaluation system, Dr. Singh further added, “Percentage system has always been better to analysis the academic performance of the students. Also, it develops a feeling of competitiveness among the students.”
