Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed Ranchi SSP to lodge FIR against retired DIG Biglal Oraon for not making payment of Rs 2.58 lakh to the labourers who worked for construction done for him. Das, while taking complaints at Seedhi Baat programme at Suchna Bhawan in Ranchi, also directed officials of labour department to look into the matter at their level.

Some of the labourers had complained before the Chief Minister that Oraon used to threaten that he will kill them whenever they asked for money. They said that over one and half dozen of labourers worked for several days at the under construction house of Oraon a year back, against which he owed Rs 2.58 lakh to them but he never paid a single penny to them.

“Rather, we were asked to go back or he will kill all of us following which were compelled to lodge a complaint at Jan Samvaad Kendra,” said one of the workers.

The Chief Minister immediately asked SSP Kuldeep Dwivedi to lodge a complaint against the DIG, who informed that a complaint was lodged against him at Argora Police Station and will be arrested soon if required. Officials of labour department were also directed by Das to look into the matter at their own level.

The CM, during the programme, also praised district administration of Dhanbad and Ranchi for making fool proof arrangements for Prime Minister’s visit and holding bypolls peacefully at Silli respectively. While hearing a complaint of upgraded school in Gumla, he directed all District Superintendents of Education to make visit to schools to take stock of the water situation and take measures to solve problems related to it.

“The State Government has been taking measures to check drop out of students, if they will not get water in schools they will stop coming to schools,” said the CM.

A total of 16 matters were taken up by the CM during seedhi baat programme, including a matter related to health department of Simdega during which he directed the officials to make more and more visit to their filed to get first hand information related to the problems at the ground.

Taking the complaint of shortage of doctors and para medical staffs at Primary Health Centre in Simdega, Chief Minister directed Civil Surgeon to make regular inspection in the district and asked the Deputy Commissioner to monitor it.

A matter related to Rural Development came before the Chief Minister where construction work was given to a fake company. Interestingly the company was recommended by Godda MP Nishikant Dubey.
