JEDDAH: Since the beginning of holy month of Ramzan, dozens of iftar parties are being held every evening in the city, the gate way to Islam's holiest places
Mecca and Medina.
One such iftar party was organized by the Jeddah Kannur Souhruda Vedi (JKSV) for people of all faiths.
The iftar meet began by paying tribute to
nurse Lini, who died battling Nipah virus infection. The attendees of the
iftar gathering stood silent for a minute to pay their respects to the nurse who treated the first victim of the deadly virus in Kozhikode.
Speakers at the function lauded Lini for her selfless service.
