Gahanna police recently responded to a report of a baby being left unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Stoneridge Drive, according to a report received at 4:27 p.m. May 22.

The woman said she intended to quickly go into the business while her baby sat in the car. As soon as she realized the issue couldn't be attended to quickly, she got the baby from the car, reports said. She insisted the time span was "just a minute." Police saw the baby wasn't hurt or affected by the time spent in the car, reports said. The woman was warned against doing things like that in the future, reports said.

* Two laptop computers were reported stolen from the garage of a Schyler Court residence, according to a report received at 7:57 p.m. May 22. They were taken about an hour earlier, reports stated.

* Juveniles were throwing items at cars and possibly pulling their pants down at Fairholme and Lincolnshire roads, according to a report received at 6:23 p.m. May 23.

* A vehicle window was broken overnight at a Codrington Circle residence, according to a report received at 7:42 a.m. May 23.

* A man was reported for running in the middle of the road with his dogs at Shull Road and Creekway Court toward Morse Road, according to a report received at 6:58 a.m. May 22.

* A potted plant was reported stolen from a Sumption Drive residence, according to a report received at 6:58 p.m. May 20.

* Several males were climbing a fence from the path by the park at Harrison Pond Drive and urinating in the backyard of a residence, according to a complaint received at 3:48 p.m. May 20. An event was underway at the park, so the resident didn't think he could identify those involved, reports said.

* A cart full of alcohol, meats and soda was reported stolen from a business on South Hamilton Road, according to a report received at 3:20 p.m. May 20.

* A male went through trash bins on Vista Drive before returning to his running vehicle, according to a report received at 9:02 a.m. May 20.

* A man exited a sports utility vehicle on Arcaro Drive, and jumped a fence to release a turtle into a private pond, according to a complaint received at 8:46 p.m. May 19. When confronted, the man said he was told to do so by law enforcement. The caller was advised to call back if similar incidents occur, reports said.

* Someone pulled up landscape lights overnight on Ainsworth Avenue and broke them in the street, according to a report received at 7:53 a.m. May 19.

* A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of a business on South Hamilton Road at 4:23 a.m. May 19. A man was sleeping in the rear of the car. He said he had nowhere to stay and refused help to get into a shelter, reports said.
