Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at an apartment building on Chapman Mills Drive Wednesday morning.
Flames broke out at about 8:30 a.m. on the exterior of the three-storey building along the 600 block of Chapman Mills Drive, between Woodroffe Avenue and Longfields Drive.
About 16 units were affected, according to Ottawa Fire Services spokesperson Danielle Cardinal.

The road was closed and residents were asked to avoid the area.
A fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the blaze.
