Local student stars in CMU’s “Self-Help”

David Klak of Mount Pleasant will star in “Self-Help” at Central Michigan University.

The comedy is about a married pair of second-rate theatre actors who cast themselves as famous, national self-help experts.

The production will take place at Bush Theatre in Mount Pleasant 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, Saturday, June 23 and Friday, July 13. There will be a 2 p.m. production Sunday, July 15. Beaver Island Community Center Theatre will show a production at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 5.

Klak is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music theatre at CMU. He is the son of John and Allyson Klak of Mount Pleasant.
