STF gunned two dreaded criminals

Sleuths of Special Task Force (STF) gunned two dreaded criminals, Himanshu Singhal aka Narsi aka Tiger and Dheeraj Chaudhary in an encounter in Kankarkhera area of Meerut on Tuesdaymorning. The cops recovered a large cache of arms and ammunitions. The slain criminals carried cash reward of Rs 25,000 each for their arrest. 

As per reports, the STF team hasd been trailing the criminals. Among opther cases, the duo was included in the sensational NH-58 robbery and murder case, in which a bride was shot dead on April 27. The STF was tipped off about their presence near Padam Cold Storage on Meerut-Karnal Road of Kankarkhera area on Tuesday morning. 

A teeam was immediately rushed afetr which an exchange of fire ensued. In the process, two of them identified as Himanshu aka Narsi aka Tiger of Modinagar (Ghaziabad) and Dheeraj Chaudhary of Shatabdinagar (Meerut) were eliminated. STF officials said that Himanshu was listed as a member of gang ‘D-79’ in records. He shot into infamy recently due to a series of heinous crimes. Besides having served as a juvenile offender in several cases, he was wanted in cases of murder, robbery and loot in Ghaziabad, Meerut and Muzaffarnagar. He was the prime accused in the highway robbery-cum-murder case in April 27. The STF also learnt that he and his aides shot a commuter and took away his Sedan from Partapur (Meerut) on NH-58 in February this year. In the rpocess, he was injured and got first-aid from Jeevan Hospital in Modinagar.  Several police teams were working to trace him and two aides named Dheeraj and Suraj of Modinagar.  The STF also claimed that Himanshu was an accused in the killing of a constable, who mediated war between two groups of inmates at a Meerut juvenile home in 2015. The same year, he shot a constable when a truck taking juvenile accused to court was attacked by miscreants on Sitapur puliya in Civil Lines police station area of Meerut. On April 27, half-a-dozen gunmen waylaid the car of a newly-wed couple on NH-58 and shot the 18-year-old bride Mehvish Parveen while heading to the groom’s house in Muzaffarnagar. The case was worked out earlier this month after a STF team arrested three youths — Akshaya Chaudhary, Vipin Sharma and Vishal Chaudhary of Ghaziabad during a routine checking. During interrogation, Akshaya revealed that the crime committed was carried out with the intention of looting the family and named Himanshu, Suraj and Dheeraj Chaudhary as the perpetrators.
