Burlington man killed in motorcycle crash: police

Police believe speed was a factor in the collision, but no charges have been laid.

A 27-year-old woman was also injured, but is expected to survive

A Burlington man is dead, police say, after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Waterdown Monday night.

Emergency crews were called to Dundas Street East, west of Avonsyde Boulevard around 11 p.m. and found the 34-year-old man who had "critical injuries," according to police.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 27-year-old woman who was driving the other vehicle involved in the crash was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police believe speed was a factor in the collision, but no charges have been laid.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact police.

The deadly crash marks the city's fifth fatal collision this year.
