Banarasis go high on fashion

The excitement was quite evident at Benaras club as the audience eagerly waited for Cynosure 2018, a fashion show organized by a fashion institute in the city. The guests arrived much ahead of the show and as anchor Priyanka Bhalla took over the stage, she was greeted with a loud applause. Pradeep Anand Singh and Deepak Maheshwari, secretary of Benaras Club welcomed the guests.

A total of 16 rounds with distinct themes, showcasing both Indian and western attire designed by students of the fashion institute were put on display at the show. The theme ‘Prestige of Benaras’, in which all the models showcased the exquisite Banarasi fabrics, both in traditional and modern cuts, was appreciated.

The designers also emphasized on different draping techniques. 'Madhubani', inspired by the Madhubani paintings with mainly Lord Krishna as the theme too was loved by everyone. The famed Assi Ghat also formed the theme of one of the rounds.
