One person is injured after a Tuesday crash on Highway 30.
According to a Linn County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded to a two vehicle accident at the Williams Boulevard and Highway 30 area at around 12:48 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon the arrival they found a minivan had hit a passenger vehicle at the crossover at that location.
The driver of the minivan Patricia McKinstry, 53, of Walford, was south bound on Williams Boulevard and over Highway 30 when she struck a passenger vehicle that was crossing Williams Boulevard from the Highway 30 eastbound off ramp to go north bound onto Williams Boulevard, according to the release.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck was Anita Berry, 47, of Elberon. She was not injured in the crash but the passenger of her vehicle Bernice Beatty, 97, of Atkins, was transported to St. Lukes Hospital for what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
There were no passengers in McKinstry’s vehicle and she refused treatment or transport on scene but did go to St. Lukes Hospital by private vehicle to be checked out for injuries, according to the release.
All parties were wearing their seat belts.
