If you agree that the 2018 Porsche 991 Targa is as cool as they get within the 911 range, then you’re really going to like the stylish, yet subtle nature displayed here by this 4 GTS version, riding on Satin Black custom wheels.

These are 540-series wheels from HRE, and can be had in sizes 17 through 24-inches, sans the 23s. Their price starts at $1,100 each, which is fitting for a design that’s been popular since the late 90s, according to the American alloy wheel manufacturer.

For 2018, HRE brought back the 540 mesh style, designing the wheel for some of today’s most exclusive sports cars and SUVs. Originally, the 540 Series became popular on the likes of the E46 BMW M3, C5 Corvette or the Porsche 996 Turbo.

While this 991 Targa might seem like the type of Porsche 911 that’s more keen on looking pretty than delivering sheer driving excitement, rest assured that in 4 GTS spec, it’s extremely fast.

Its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine produces 450 PS (444 HP) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque, in a package that weighs just 1,680 kg (3,703 lbs). Get it with a 7-speed manual and you’ll be accelerating to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds, which is almost as great as getting there in just 3.7 seconds, something you can do if you give your left leg a rest and opt for the PDK automatic instead.
