Summer school concludes

The summer school organised by the State Institute of Languages to promote proficiency in Malayalam among the younger generation concluded here on Monday.

Director of Public Instruction (DPI) K.V. Mohan Kumar inaugurated the concluding session of the summer school and distributed certificates to the participants at a function chaired by institute director V. Karthikeyan Nair.

The summer school began on April 5 with the objective of teaching those aged between 10 and 20 years Malayalam alphabets, words, sentences and grammar in that order so that they could use Malayalam without errors.

Mr. Mohan Kumar also released the revised edition of the Kerala Bhasha Padhavali at the function. P. Soman, Naduvattom Gopalakrishnan, Vattakkarikkakom Krishnan Nair, Vattapparambil Peethambaran, and K.R. Sarithakumari spoke at the function
