OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - One of two bystanders credited with fatally shooting a gunman who'd opened fire at an Oklahoma City restaurant says he's "just an average guy." Bryan Whittle is a master sergeant in the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He tells The Oklahoman newspaper that he and his wife were driving by the restaurant Thursday when they saw a commotion outside. He says he grabbed his pistol after witnesses pointed out the shooter. Whittle says he "had the right tool to help at the right time."

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The FBI says it was contacted about a YouTube channel associated with the Oklahoma City restaurant shooting suspect but determined no further action was needed. The FBI said Saturday it was contacted twice about the channel associated with 28-year-old Alexander Tilghman, killed by bystanders after wounding three Thursday. In the channel, Tilghman describes demons possessing his TV and says he's "really losing it."

FOSS, Okla. (AP) - More than 60 bison auctioned off by Oklahoma will stay in the state after two Indian tribes made the winning bid of about $88,000. The herd had roamed the grasslands of Foss State Park, about 90 miles (145 kilometers) west of Oklahoma City but was put up for auction after drought conditions meant costly purchases of hay were required to feed the animals. The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes made the winning bid.

MCALESTER, Okla. (AP) - Former Oklahoma Gov. George Nigh has delivered a commencement address in Oklahoma for the 69th consecutive year, choosing his alma mater McAlester High School for this year's speech. A member of McAlester's 1945 class, the 90-year-old spoke to graduates during a ceremony this month at the Southeast Expo Center. Nigh told The Oklahoman newspaper he delivered his first graduation speech in 1950 at a rural schoolhouse in Pittsburg County. He didn't have a car, so he hitchhiked to the ceremony.
