Albany police say an 18-year-old man was shot in the head in West Hill on Monday night and was being treated with non-life-threatening injuries at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Police say the man arrived at the emergency room Albany Memorial at 9 p.m., and after police were notified they were able to interview the man, whose identity was not revealed.

The man told police that he was shot while inside his vehicle near the intersection of Third Avenue and North Lake Avenue.

Police did not say how the man got to the hospital after being shot or if there are any suspects in the shooting.
