Liverpool transfer news: Jurgen Klopp told to sign ‘fabulous’ Loris Karius replacement
LIVERPOOL should sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson to become the club’s new No 1 this summer, claims pundit and former Arsenal striker Paul Mariner.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Alisson since the January transfer window.
And following Loris Karius’ nightmare display in the Champions League final on Saturday, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp may make a move for the Brazil international.
Mariner cannot see Karius playing again for Liverpool and reckons Alisson would be the perfect replacement.
“I would have him tomorrow at Anfield,” Mariner told ESPN FC.

I think he’s a fantastic goalkeeper. I think he’s got everything that Klopp wants
“I think he’s a fantastic goalkeeper. I think he’s got everything that Klopp wants.
“He’s commanding in his box, his distribution is excellent.
“They love him at Roma, but Roma as we know have sold players to Liverpool before.
“I think he’s a fabulous goalkeeper.

“It’s sad what’s happened to Karius and I’m sure he’s going to be playing again.
“It’s going to be hard for him (to play for Liverpool again), in-between his ears it’s going to be very, very difficult.
“I think I like this idea for Liverpool.”
