Control room opened

The district administration has opened a round-the-clock control room at the Government Guest House for clarifying doubts of people on Nipah viral infection. The service of the control room can be availed through the helpline number - 04952-381000.

‘Adopt Gulf model’

A meeting of the Pravasi Development Rehabilitation and Welfare Centre here on Monday said that coordinated efforts with a scientific approach were needed to tackle the issue of the outbreak of Nipah virus infection in the district. The State government and civic bodies should follow the sanitation and hygiene model adopted in Gulf countries, it said.
