ALDImobile Beats Telstra & Optus For Best Customer Satisfaction

Trumping Optus, Telstra and Vodafone, Roy Morgan’s latest research reveals ALDImobile was Australia’s best mobile service provider in April, concerning customer satisfaction. It marks ALDImobile’s second victory for the year, and succeeds March’s winner, Virgin Mobile.

For the month of April, ALDImobile received a customer satisfaction rating of 84.1% – a notable 26.1% increase compared to the previous corresponding period (below).

Virgin Mobile notched 80.8%, Optus 76.9%, Vodafone 77.7% and Telstra 73.9%.

Last year’s Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Annual Award winner, amaysim, missed its position in April 2018’s Top 5.

ALDImobile is a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) and utilises Telstra’s network.

Runner up, Virgin Mobile, harnesses Vodafone’s network. As reported last week, Optus has announced it’s phasing out Virgin Mobile Australia, with the view to consolidate its user base by 2020.

Roy Morgan CEO, Michele Levine, affirms the “competitive nature” of Australia’s mobile phone provider industry is reflected by the fact last year’s winners, amaysim and iiNet, are not in this year’s Top 5.

“In April, Australia’s three largest mobile phone networks now fill out the top five mobile phone service providers for customer satisfaction with Vodafone on 77.7%, Optus on 76.9% and Telstra on 73.9% close behind the leading two brands,” Levine states.
