Magic goal keep Kelly Jury goes down injured against the Southern Steel.
Silver Ferns defender Kelly Jury is out for the remainder of the ANZ Premiership with a dislocated shoulder.
Jury, 21, dislocated her right shoulder two weeks ago when playing the Southern Steel and will need surgery next month to repair a tear.
The Magic goal keep was helped off the court against the Steel when goal shoot Jennifer O'Connell accidentally landed on her on the baseline.
Kelly Jury, right, gets advice from Silver Ferns skipper Katrina Grant during the Taini Jamison Trophy match between New Zealand and Jamaica in March.
Jury will miss the rest of the season with the Magic, as well as the Silver Ferns' 2018 international campaign, with rehabilitation expected to take six to nine months.
Fellow Magic player Sydney Fraser is also expected to miss the entire 2018 season as she receives reconstructive surgery on her right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which she injured during the pre-season.
Fraser's rehabilitation is expected to take between nine to 12 months, and is at present on track for a nine-month recovery.
Magic head coach Margaret Forsyth said both players would be missed as they were vital to the side.
"While all of us in the Magic camp are extremely disappointed about the season-ending injuries sustained by both Sydney and Kelly, we have rallied and will step up a team."
Jury has played 22 tests for the Silver Ferns since making her debut against England in February last year.
