The rupee strengthened by 39 paise to 67 rupees and 39 paise against the dollar at the interbank forex market today. On Friday, the Indian unit had clocked its biggest single-session rally since March 14, 2017, surging by a whopping 56 paise to close at 67 rupees and 78 paise against the US dollar.
The benchmark Sensex reclaimed the 35,000-mark by surging over 150 points in early trade today on easing geopolitical concerns and a sharp correction in global crude prices. The NSE Nifty too edged up by 53 points to 10,658.
